Off the Wall - Student Art Show
March 26 - April 24, 2016

Picture

Chandler Gallery’s exhibit OFF THE WALL – student art exhibit opens March 26th with work from students preK through Grade 12.  Randolph Elementary and High School, Sharon Elementary, Whitcomb High School, Braintree Elementary, Brookfield Elementary, Roxbury Elementary, South Royalton School, Bethel Elementary and The Newton School will be on display  as the Central Vermont celebration of Youth Art Month.

This years exhibit “Off The Wall” shows examples of student art work that reflects the divergent thinking , skill development, exposure to materials and creative expression that happens in art class. Students learn how art work communicates with others when it is presented in a Gallery setting  which are core art standards and we are lucky that Chandler provides this opportunities to our students each year. Take a romp with kindergarten wild things or a stroll through an expressive landscape created by 5/6 students when you visit the Gallery. Imagine a new style of footwear or how a mask might give you a new identity as you look at High school work.

Everyone is encouraged to come to the opening reception that  will be from 5:30 -7;30pm on Saturday March 26th with refreshments and a hands on activity for all ages. Make it a really special evening by taking your family to Mini Mud on the main stage that evening as well.

The exhibit runs through April 24th
and  we would welcome volunteer Gallery sitters Fridays , Saturdays  or Sundays. Call Chandler to volunteer and get a free voucher for an upcoming event at the Music Hall
